I went to a Growth Accelerator training event in Manchester yesterday “Telesales for the Terrified”. One statistic that stuck in my head was that it takes on average of between 5 and 12 “touch points” (customer contacts) for a prospect to become a customer. Apparently most businesses stop at 4.

 

I also came across this info-graphic which although consumer orientated is worth a look.
